A pensioner, who has served in any rank whether as a combatant or non-combatant in
Regular Army, Navy and Air Force of the Union of India and.
- Retired with pension.
- Released on medical ground with disability pension.
- Released, otherwise than at his own request due to reduction in establishment.
- Released after completion of terms of engagement or at his own request or by way of dismissal or discharged on account of misconduct or inefficiency and has been given gratuity which includes the personnel of TA of following category:-
(i) Pension holder for continuous embodied service.
(ii) Person with disability attributable to Military service.
(iii) Gallantry award winners.
