• All pre 01 Apr 1985 pensionerswho don't have PPO copy please apply, must make sure that their spouse name is there for family pension. If not apply for endorsement of family pension joint notifications immediately through ZSB to your records office.
• If pensioners die before the age of 67, his spouse should get the same pension as her husband. from the date of death till the deceased attains the age of 67 or for 7 years whichever falls early.
• The pensioners who completed 80 years of age are eligible to get a 20% increase in their basic pension as the additional pension. If you are not getting you have to apply to the bank with the proof of date of birth.
• ESM can draw the pensions separately without any celling wef 01 Jan 1996.
• DR for re-employed ex-servicemen with some conditions wef 18 Jul 1997.
• DR is admissible to employed family pensioners without any condition wef 18 Jul 1997.
• Minimum Ordinary family pension as per 7th CPC is 9000/- + DR wef 01 Jan 2016.
• Improvement in pension for ORs and JCOs as per CDA Circular 430 wef 01 Jul 2009.
• The dual family pension is payable from 24 Sep 2012.
• Broadbanding for all pensioners is applicable wef 01 Jan 2016 (Circular 596).
• Both service and disability pension are exempted from Income Tax if you are drawing disability pension.
• If you are having disabled children, unmarried daughters, widowed daughters, you must apply for Part II order (POR) for pension benefits on later dates.
• Many of Veterans are not aware of the correctness of their pension.
• Always check your pension with your Rank, Group, Qualifying service and date of birth.
• Pre 2016 retirees multiply your basic pension from OROP Table to 2.57 to arrive at basic pension as per 7th CPC (Circular 570).
• Pension fixation methodology multiplication factor of 2.57 or notional fixation of pay whichever is higher would be granted.
